NEW FOR 2017 SEASON
Exeter City Football in the Community have launched a new Girls Football Development Centre in partnership with Exeter City Ladies Football Club.
The Development Centre aims to provide an additional provision for talented individuals, in Exeter and across the South West, to pursue in conjunction with their local teams and progress through the female player pathway.
Working in partnership with Exeter City Ladies Football Club, who currently play in the FA Women’s Premier League South West Division, the centre aims to provide an exciting opportunity locally and bridge the gap between grassroots football.
The Centre will be open to U12’s, U14’s and U16’s.
Under 12 - School Year 6 and 7
Under 14 - School Year 8 and 9
Under 16 - School Year 10 and 11
Following our initial open trial session on Thursday 30th March, the Girls Development Centre will run as a pilot programme from mid-April to late June 2017 to create a platform to test logistics and gain feedback moving forward to the 2017/18 season from September onwards.
Donna Langdon, Women and Girls Development Coordinator at Exeter City Football in Community said, ‘We recognise the outstanding work of local youth clubs, and aim for the centre to support and expand upon their hard work. The centre provides an excellent opportunity to further develop players, and aid the number of girls transitioning through to regular engagement within women’s football.’

Exeter City Football In The Community offers a range opportunities for girls to be involved in football from girl's only holiday courses, after school clubs and regular weekly sessions, including Exeter and Taunton Grecian Girls.
We are also proud to be a part of the Premier League Girls Programme delivered in partnership with The Football Association, which aims to provide opportunities for females aged 11 and over to take part in football in a community setting.
For participants who wish to progress in the game, we aim to create a player pathway with local community clubs to provide longer term participation. Our current programme includes partnerships with King's Schools Taunton, University of Exeter Ladies Club, Exeter City Ladies and Feniton Ladies, providing a range of opportunitites for female players to become a part of the football community.
